I am a Registered Nurse and have been making stained glass windows for almost 40 years. My husband's hobby is woodworking and when we were dating he suggested that I find a hobby so he could work on his projects and I would have something to do. I always wanted to learn how to do this so I started with a lesson and was instantly hooked. I was asked to do some commission projects and continued to make windows until my second child was born. With 2 small children I felt I couldn’t continue so I packed everything up and put it away for 18yrs until my youngest went to college in 2007. I have been going strong since, expanding from just stained glass to mosaics and glass fusion. I retired 8 years ago and now have the time to attend craft shows and continuing to do commission work, which is my preference. I find that the ideas are endless and the creativity very gratifying.
